i wanted to touch base with you and let you and your family know i will not forget your son. i remember him as a little guy. running around the yard playing. the definition of innocence and grace. i'm honored to have known him. i will be honored to remember him. you are in my thoughts and prayers..please let me know if i can help.

also, i wonder if you could post something on your website for me. after reading my brothers poem i would like to share some thoughts with the kids. they may now realize life is a gift.... if you are so inclined, here it is:

Honor Your Friend

A friend of ours has been taken away violently, painfully. live your life to the fullest. hide nothing, take nothing for granted, hold nothing back. strive to be the very best you can be everyday, all day. live your life to the fullest for it is fragile. if you love someone.. tell them...if you are angry with someone, forgive them. you only go through once mi young amigos...attack, attack, attack and never look back. the only regret you will have in life is not trying. don't be afraid to fail, i fail often. i get up, i learn, i go ahead. no second guessing, no regrets. be able to sleep at night knowing that you have tried your best. be true to yourself and don't worry if someone tells you you can't, you're not smart enough, tall enough, strong enough. i have heard that often...i still do. let no one, i mean no one, ever tell you you can't...because if you want, you will my friends. people think material things are important, i have those. but the one thing i treasure is the peace of mind, body and sole i have..for i know i have done my best and no one can take that away from me...right or wrong...ever.

i keep this with me always:

Believe in yourself-in the power you have to control your life, day by day
Believe in the strength that you have deep inside, and your faith will show you the way.

Believe in tomorrow and what it will bring;
let a hopeful heart cary you through,

For things will work out if you trust and believe there's no limit to what you can do.

sometimes i waiver, question myself.......it is in those times that i succeed with tremendous force....
